Cargill Site Entry: Temple Project
Site Entry Services
We are proud to provide site entry qualification services to the Temple, Texas Project for Cargill USA. It is our goal to ensure that contractors working in this facility are able to work safely and abide by the site’s rules and procedures. We strive to do this in the most contractor-friendly, cost-effective manner possible, and pride ourselves on helping all parties involved.
All contractors and subcontractors will be required to utilize the new iris scanning system to access the site. The basics of the scanning program will require confirmation that each employee has been given basic safety training (required by section 1.15 of the “Contractor Safety Guidelines”), confirmation that each employee has been trained in the proper use, adjustment, limitations, maintenance and storage of the personal protective equipment that will be used on the job (required by section 1.20), and confirmation that each superintendent/foreman has a current OSHA 10-hour construction safety course (required by section 7.0.6). In addition, any tasks that require specific training such as accessing a scaffold, entering a confined space, etc. will require proof of training to be provided to Safety Plus Inc.
These services are provided through Safety Plus. Please use the links on this page to register for the program and to contact us for service.
Cargill Site Entry Requirements
The Basic Training Acknowledgement will confirm that each employee:
- Has been given basic safety training (required by section 1.15 of the “Contractor Safety Guidelines”)
- That each employee has been trained in the proper use, adjustment, limitations, maintenance and storage of the personal protective equipment that will be used on the job (required by section 1.20)
- And that each employee has been given induction training (required by section 2.10); that each superintendent/foreman has a current OSHA 10-hour construction safety course (required by section 7.0.6)
In addition, any tasks that require specific training such as accessing a scaffold, entering a confined space, etc. will require proof of training to be provided to Safety Plus Inc.
All employees must initially complete the Basic Training Acknowledgement form, but what happens when an employee must perform a task that was not specified for that employee initially? In these cases, contractors must update the employee’s record by completing another Basic Training Acknowledgement Form. You will complete this form in the same manner as the initial BTA and send the same type of supporting documentation.
Please Note: Prior to arriving on site for the site specific orientation, all contractor employee information (the BTA and supporting training documentation) must have been sent to Safety Plus at least 24 hours in advance. If the employee has not been processed in advance, a fee of $50 will be applied for accelerated processing.
