To help accelerate the technology behind the Safety Plus offerings, we are seeking a hybrid Quality Assurance/Product Owner (QA/PO) to join the company. This role is a unique combination of responsibilities from both quality assurance and product ownership domains. This role requires a versatile skill set to ensure that the product development process is efficient, the product quality is maintained, and the customer needs are met.
As such, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the role of Quality Assurance/Product Owner (QA/PO) hybrid. In this role, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between quality assurance and product ownership to ensure the successful development and delivery of high-quality software products that meet customer requirements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to guide the product development process from conception to delivery while maintaining a strong focus on quality.

Responsibilities

Quality Assurance

• Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive testing strategies and plans to validate the functionality and performance of software products.
• Conduct manual and automated tests, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Perform regression testing to validate that new features and enhancements do not adversely affect existing functionalities.
• Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test reports.
• Collaborate with development teams to promote best practices in testing and quality assurance.

Product Ownership

• Act as the voice of the customer, understanding and representing user needs and requirements to the development team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, users, and development teams, to define and prioritize product features and user stories.
• Develop and maintain a product backlog, including detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritization.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure the successful execution of the product roadmap.
• Make informed decisions regarding trade-offs between features, schedule, and technical constraints to ensure the delivery of a valuable product.

Hybrid Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between the development team and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment of goals.
• Use insights gained from quality assurance activities to inform and enhance the product development process.
• Balance the needs of quality assurance and product ownership to deliver a product that meets both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Continuously improve the quality assurance process, contributing to a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
